Deli Solutions continues investment in Marco Trac-IT

Leading specialist food suppliers Deli Solutions have made further investment in Marco's Trac-IT factory profitability solution.

Deli Solutions, part of Surrey based Winterbotham Darby Ltd, supply a range of specially hand crafted potted olives, sun dried tomatoes and other mouth-watering anti-pasti products to leading retailers including Waitrose and Sainsburys. Their General Manager Douglas Bathgate is clear on the important advantages the Marco system has brought to his company's process:

"The nature of our products demands careful manual assembly but minimising giveaway whilst maintaining pack consistency, is also essential in maintaining and improving our profitability.

The results from the initial Marco four station Yield Control installation in 2007 were very impressive indeed and as a result we now have a total of 14 stations, all managed from a central Datamaster computer. The Marco Yield Control System oversees and controls our manual packing process, bringing down giveaway to fractions of a gram, whilst improving pack speed. Our operators find the equipment very easy to use and minimal training is required."

Full electronic traceability is an integral part of the Marco Trac-IT system and Deli Solutions have also invested in a Marco outer case validation Line Control system to ensure correct labelling.
