Unprecedented numbers attend Marco's stand at the recent Fruit Logistica Exhibition

An outstanding success for MarcoThis year’s Fruit Logistica Exhibition in Berlin proved to be an outstanding success for Marco, who were exhibiting their complete packhouse solutions at this world class show for the first time. A record 50,000 visitors from around the globe attended the exhibition and as Marco’s System Application Specialist Colin Platt explained:

"It felt like a good proportion of those visitors ended up on our stand! Our stand was continuously swamped with interested parties and we generated more positive sales leads in the first morning than we would typically generate over the whole three days at other shows."

Drawing in the crowds were live demonstrations and video footage of Marco’s award winning TRAC-IT YCM (Yield Control Manager) in action, clearly showing why this system has already earned an excellent reputation in fruit packhouses across Europe.

Interested parties included fruit and food packers, system integrators and potential distribution partners, and as Colin concluded:

"Capturing the audience’s attention did not prove difficult, considering we were clearly demonstrating that TRAC-IT YCM can deliver yield improvements of between 5 and 10%. Many visitors were initially sceptical that we could reduce pack giveaway to fractions of 1 gram - until they saw the system in action. Return on investment is easily qualified when armed with our customer’s packing volumes and in almost all cases one season’s savings through increased efficiency and reduced giveaway will justify the cost of the system”
