The MARCO team have returned to headquarters after a productive and busy week at their first event of the year, Fruit Logistica. Throughout the show in Berlin the team were running meetings and product demonstrations over all three days. All these took place on MARCO’s new and improved 56 m2 stand which was showcasing many of MARCO’s hardware/ software applications as well as some new and innovative technologies for the fresh produce industry.
Among the demonstrations were numerous trials with MARCO’s flagship Trac-IT Yield Control Module, with visitors being showed the hardware’s innovative weighing function and software’s live data reporting. The MARCO Trac-IT Quality Control Module also impressed visitors with its wide-ranging applicability for the fresh produce, food manufacturing, and factory management industries. The recently announced range of MARCO’s IoT devices, the TechMaster and TaskMaster, gave visitors a glimpse of the latest developments in pack house technology with their touchscreen displays attracting attention and interest from a wide range of delegates.
Day 1 built up throughout the day with consistent and heavy foot traffic on the MARCO stand from the afternoon until the show’s close on the Friday. There were over 110 registered visitors to the MARCO stand on Day 1 alone, with delegates coming to Berlin from across MARCO’s existing network of 44 countries and beyond. The business development team also took the opportunity to meet up with friends and clients on their stands with companies from Italy, Spain, and Egypt being particularly well represented.
MARCO’s business development team also managed to forge official partnerships at this year’s show with five orders being signed on the MARCO stand. These, as well as other exciting opportunities stemming from the show provide an indication that 2020 will be a fantastic year for the MARCO team as well as the wider fresh produce industry.
